The Functions Of Pontiac Neck Lanyard

By Christa Jarvis

A neck lanyard is defined as a cord worn around the neck to carry an object. Pontiac neck lanyard is useful for carrying objects that are likely to get lost either due to their small size or other factors. The objects carried can be for use for several different purposes. These lanyards are at least as old as the Pontiac model of car and they are still in wide use.

Lanyards come in different designs and styles. The purpose a product is intended for determines the material it is made from. Some among the most commonly used materials are nylon, braided paracord, satin, braided leather, polyester and polyethylene terephthalate. Some materials are blended to achieve certain specifications in a commodity. The measurements vary although most designs fit through the head.

The lanyard has a buckle fixed on one end for holding objects. The buckles are hard to open and cannot let the object go. This is useful for ensuring that objects do not drop or get lost. Accidental strangulation is prevented using an additional component made of plastic or metal. If excess force is applied on the component, it falls off without pressing so much on the neck.

The objects a Pontiac lanyard can be used to carry are many ranging from badges to car keys. In organizations such as the company that makes the Pontiac car models, these product is used to carry accessories for electronics. Small electronics such as MP3 players, USB flash drives, and cameras can conveniently be carried around using this cord. Lanyards used to carry such products normally have loops of threads attached at one end. The loop is attached on a corresponding hole on the device.

Another function is to carry badges or identification holder. Lanyards are widely used for displaying ID cards, tickets, and badges for identification purposes. Security in places such as hospitals, schools, and prisons require staff and outsiders to have their identification documents openly displayed to make work easier. A clip is normally attached to one end of the cord for the document to be placed inside. The clip has a clear side for easy view of the document carried.

Lanyards are also useful as safety devices. Here, they may be attached to the wrist or the neck of an operator of a heavy machine, train or vehicle. From the neck or wrist, the cord is attached to a safety switch on the machinery. In the event that the operator cannot operate the machine or vehicle anymore by maybe falling off, the cord pulls on the safety switch turning it off.

The last and probably the most common use of lanyards is as a fashion accessory. People carry them around to show that they like the model of vehicle associated with it. In this case they may be just hung or be placed inside the pocket.

There are many sources that sell this product cheaply to clients from various places. Deliveries can be made to international destinations by most online stores. This product is a great way of avoiding losses that can otherwise be avoided by placing objects where they can be seen at all times.
