There's actually only 1 thing you can completely rely on in this life - it will all go on. Whether you like it or not, things are going to change.
Things are going to switch, evolve, adjust, and morph throughout time, and to be honest, you have absolutely no control of what really goes down. Yes, we may have certain concepts for what we wish to see in our future - but actually it is out of our control when we really take the time to mull it over.
If we dive into the land of the past, the place we can actually never go back to, we start to experience the same precise reality also - all that is done is done and we are able to never change it. Sure, we might possibly be able to hide it from people who don't know better in the present, but in fact, what has really happened will invariably be there in the back of our minds. We must learn to accept our past and move forward with dignity. There is no other way.
We must allow life to go on.
We must truly allow ourselves to let go of the past and stop always focusing on the future to give us a honest and great opportunity to live in the present.
The present, really when it comes down to it, is the only time that we really have. And yet, so many people appear to live everywhere but in it. Many are stuck in the tar of the past or attempting to swim to the future as speedily as they can - only to find that living in both these places yields absolutely zip.
So be right here and now.
Be present.
