When dealing with mental health, it might be challenging to figure out if certain symptoms are an indication of a mental problem or they are just normal. This is because your behaviors and thought are all indicators of your mental health. In most cases, the difference between mental health and illness is very thin and thus not easy to distinguish. Physiological problems if left untreated for long can lead to physical illness. The first sign is if you are experiencing intense emotions. It is common for human beings to experience emotions such as fear, anxiety and anger. However, exaggerated emotions may not be good for your day to day functioning. In case you no longer enjoy interacting with the people you love, or you can no longer talk out your feeling you may need therapy. Also, you might feel hopeless at all times. You may feel like you do not see the need to live and even desire you would die.

You should also be wary in case your friends and relatives are also concerned about you. In case the people you spend a lot of time with are being concerned about your sudden change of behaviors which you have not noticed, do not dismiss them. Remember that anyone can suffer from physiological problems. Although there is still stigma associated with physiological health, finding medical help is important as it helps patients get back to their feet.
