The Velveteen Rabbit Challenge And Positive Change

When it comes to eliminating darkness and finding the light in life, it can often be difficult for some individuals. However, when it comes to the Velveteen Rabbit Challenge, that is exactly the plan. For, just think how refreshing it would be to see people become more rather than less motivated, take pride in work and display a sense of self-mastery when life provides challenges and obstacles.

Based on the belief that only individuals whom work hard are able to discover ultimate potential, the challenge appears to be a good one. For, as has been proven, only when individuals can overcome challenges and obstacles can one then help others do so. In addition, the ability to work toward goals and visions and succeed becomes an essential aspect of life.

While the challenge does promote change, change can often time. Although, when having patience, compassion and trust, most individuals have been successful when going through the re-birthing process necessary for creating long lasting change. While this is the case, the process takes focus and commitment. For, it can often be easier to hold on to old ways of doing things rather than focusing on change in the present and future.

Through a close examination of self and removing layers of past pain, trauma and other difficult experiences, individuals can be reborn into a truer sense of self. For, in undergoing the challenge, people repeat the cycle of birth and death many times over. When it comes to the word dying, in this sense the word refers to eliminating old ways of doing things while coming to terms with the dark side of self which exist in all people.

In examining the inner-self, individuals are able to view present and past behavior and experiences without judgment or criticism. In addition, people participating in the challenge go through a re-birthing process and awaken to a new and different reality. After which, making peace with the dark side of self in the past becomes easier and allows the individual to let go and move into the future.

Acceptance is another key element when it comes to the challenge. For, individuals often learn to love and understand past experiences, even those related to the dark side. As such, acceptance and understanding when it comes to the characteristics of the rabbit are two of the most important aspects of change.

Whether that be, the loss of loved ones, sickness or threats, the peaceful energy of the rabbit has always been there. While this is the case, the spirit of the rabbit often gets lost in the darkness of the storm. Still, it is this energy which helps guide individuals back to the light.

While some people may feel exhausted, torn and ragged before discovering the challenge, change can still take place. For, only when people have the courage to erase the past dark aspects and move forward, does change take place. At the same time, it is important to recognize positive changes so those changes can be nurtured and grow into seeds which can often produce a happier, healthier and more positive sense of self in the future.
