Another reason is because aluminum and steel do not wear easily. Also corrosion resistance and finally poles made of aluminum and steel have that visual appeal.

When it comes to highways light equipment should be used to explicit light. Those equipment should allow different supply of light on the through-way and the path structures while ensuring that the equipment characteristics still remain unchanged. The width of the path is what is considered when it comes to the amount of light to be supplied.

The lights situated on the sides of the roads where the components will be determined by the amount of illumination required by that path. Then also the light that enables the driver to see pedestrians and vehicles pass and finally those placed on the through-ways used by people are some of the things that are taken into consideration to determine the intensity of lighting required.

Lastly street lights maintenance has been made successful by the use of two techniques. The first one being the Reactive which is an immediate response to failure in power supply like for instance, when a street light has been damaged by a vehicle the step taken to repair it is reactive. The second technique is preventative and this occurs when may be the product has become obsolete or does not function well may it is seventy five percent way of its life span.
