Choose Quality Materials To Make Quality Fall Wreath Ideas

By Stacey Burt

Customers will have an overwhelming task of selecting from the various decorations that may be displayed when the weather changes, and there are many orange, brown and other vibrant colors that will signify the start of autumn in a region. A home will become transformed when great themes are added with fall wreath ideas. Young children will love being the helper with this type of project when all of the materials are gathered together.

A small cottage style home can be made to feel inviting with the right autumn colors placed strategically through out the structure. A larger house can have bigger pieces added to indoor and outdoor walls, doors and windows. Family pictures can be added to brown wooden wreaths, and this will look great displayed in a living or dining room.

A great material to use will be fabric that will look great on the base of the project, and this material may be green, orange or brown cotton or satin strips that are wrapped around the frame. Items from nature may be added, like small pumpkins or leaves, that will look beautiful glued to the frame as a group. In addition to wooden bases, a foam or metal piece may be used as the foundation for this seasonal piece.

Before the project is started, the customer will want to get quality tools, and these are easily ordered at a local craft supply shop. There are also many different sizes and round shapes that are used as the base, and the customer may need to measure the hanging space. The consumer will also want to have a sturdy hot glue gun, fabric, yarn and other items, like small plastic nuts or corn.

Many clients love this type of craft project due to the simpleness and relatively cheap way that it may be made at home. Many seasonal pieces, such as leaves or gourds, will look outstanding when attached to the foam, plastic or wood base. Many children will be occupied and love helping to select the order and items that are placed on the item.

A fabric tie should be added at the top so that the wreath will hang from a front door or wall when finished. Some customers may want to attach the unit from the back at the top, and a small hanging tack can be added on the wooden or metal frame. A really personal touch will be to add the an initial to the fabric to designate the last name of the homeowners.

A simplistic item may be assembled from colors that include deep greens or rich browns that mimic the outside season. A contemporary item may include rich red or brown items, such as peppers, that are not normally used in a fall design, such as pumpkins. The individual doing the craft may also want to choose a family of shapes, such as all items that appear to be square.

A client may want to make two pieces that may be used on both front and back doors, and these can be uniquely designed with different autumn materials. A common theme with this type of project is to use natural materials that blend in with the way the weather appears outside at this time of the year. The final item should make the owner feel a sense of accomplishment for creating a beautiful home item.
