To The Future Through The Traditions: Spiritual Living Speaker California

By Jessica Barnes

African spiritism culture has deep roots on the continent. It is an age-old tradition and is found across the continent. The Nigerian spirtism beliefs are particularly widespread. Due to the slave trade, the African population is now found the world over, with many African Americans in the US. Spiritism continues to be a practice among certain African American groups too and spiritual living speaker California are often consulted by those seeking the guidance of an advisor.

Nigeria is the most populated country on the African continent, with more than 178,5 million citizens. It has the biggest economy in Africa, largely due to its oil and other natural resources. The per capita degree holders per head is the most significant on the African continent too. In spite of all these positive factors, Nigeria is still a country that faces a mountain of social and economic problems. The wealth gap between the rich and poor is large, and the country is plagued by war in some parts. This has lead to many inhabitants seeking a solution to their current disparate standards of living.

When all these factors are taken into account, it is not surprising that Nigerians are eschewing traditional religions in favor of more spiritist beliefs. To date, 70 million Nigerian Christians have turned into followers of the prosperity gospel, but have turned to other forms of religion for guidance in this area. With so many religions to choose from, the perceived paths to economic salvation are multiplicitous, propelled from a deep belief that what someone believes in will bring them relief from strife in their daily lives, not only spiritually, but in material means too. This may be why Nigerians need a new path to try in order to restore financial stability in their uncertain futures.

Pastors such as TB Joshua are mainstream prosperity principle preachers. According to this principle, God will financially uplift His followers who obey the commands of the religion. The cult following this principle has gained has lead to people like former pop star, Reverend Chris Okotie taking up pastorship. Pastors earn good salaries and have multitudes of followers, both rich and poor. Their main source of income is from rich adherents who donate generously to the church.

But there has been a quiet but growing discontent with this wealth reserved for a few chosen of God. The reality is that not everyone will simply be uplifted by sheer faith alone. Also because the material well-being is acquired only with an inner well-being that goes beyond the attendance of churches and the practice of precepts, but with the implementation of a more elected philosophy of life.

When the elusive sense of inner wellbeing cannot be attained, there has been a return to more indigenous paths of spirituality as it is more practical for daily practice. Many are now relying on the guidance of counselors, traditional and ordinary priests, and psychic healers in their strive for financial success. Those who have a perceived benefit from the transcendental healing they have experienced through their work with psychics now know not to repeat past mistakes that will result in financial woes.

For those that want to enter into the practice of spiritism, it is vital to be able to discern between those who are truly gifted at it, and those who are charlatans. It has been suggested that those who consult with psychic healers, rely on their sixth sense to ensure they are being attended to by a person with real powers, as opposed to a fraudster.

Any psychic who claims to be able to tell you which casino will be paying out a jackpot and at which time, or predicts the winning lotto numbers, is probably a fake. Real psychics respect their gifts. They provide guidance and ask only payment for their services. They do not continually raise prices each time you visit them, and will not try to get you to buy their products. If you feel you are gaining positively in life due to your consults with your psychic, you are seeing the right one.
