By Jeffrey Olson

Christianity is popular. It has billions of followers. A good percentage of the human population is made up of believers of Christianity. As a matter of fact, Christianity has had a great influence in Western culture. Christmas, which is a Christian festival, is usually celebrated all over the world. Sunday, the day of worship, is a day when Americans do not go to work. Instead, they go to church so that to engage in praise and worship. There is no nation on earth that has been greatly influenced by Christianity than US. That is why there are many Christian churches in Las Vegas.

Catholicism is quite common all over America. In a place like Las Vegas, there are many Catholics. That is also the case in other cities of Nevada as well as other states. Christianity has billions of followers. Some of the most Catholic nations on earth include the United States, Brazil, Italy, and the Philippines. These countries actually have millions of Catholics.

The Catholic Church did not start yesterday. It has existed for thousands of years. Conversion of the Roman Emperor Constantine to Christianity marked the start of Catholicism. Since then, many people have become Catholics, all over the world. Every day, there are hundreds of people who normally convert to Catholicism. Conversion is an easy and straightforward process that requires baptism.

Catholicism is not the only Christian faith in America. There are also a number of Protestant churches. Protestantism was the result of the Great Reformation that happened hundreds of years ago. Some people were dissatisfied by the Catholic Church. As a result, they founded the Protestant movement. Lutheran church was one of the first protestant faiths in the world.

The Baptist Church is part of Protestantism. This church has done a lot to make the world a better place. Baptist missionaries have taken the gospel to all the four corners of the world. Thus, they have actually helped to fulfill the Great Commission. One of the greatest things that a believer can do is to spread the faith.

The United States has played an important role in the history of Christianity and religion in general. That is due to the fact that it is the birthplace of a number of churches including the Seventh Day Adventist church, Quakers church, Four Square Church, and the Church of Latter day Saints (LDS). In Adventism, Saturday is the official day of worship.

Different Christians might have different day of worship. There might also be other minor areas of differences. However, the overriding fact is that most believers of Christianity have major similarities including the belief in the supremacy of the Bible. The Holy Bible is supreme, holy, and true. As a matter of fact, it never lies. Biblical prophesies always come true.

The sense of belief is the most important human sense. It is more vital than the sense of sight and even the sense of smell. It is a bad thing in life to ignore spiritual health. That will lead to untold consequences. A true believer will go to heaven. Actually, heaven is a very beautiful place where there is no suffering.
