By Jeff K.

If you are anything like me, chances are that you may feel uncertain about a certain area of your life that you might want to improve or inquire about, like your relationship(s) for example. Today many people like a masseuse or psychologist are used to help us get better, but one that is really becoming more popular is the use of a palm reader.

In the professional world the people who practice this art form are commonly referred to as palm readers and in some places of the world are called a "hand analyst." Palm reading is believed to be traced back to ancient India and may also be known as Chiromancy and will help the reader study the lines in the palm of an individual to find out more about their personality and what might be in store for their future.
How To Palmistry And What You Need To Know About This Ancient Artform

It's said that palm reading has ties into the astrology and fortune telling beliefs of the past and also modern way of living. Many people believe that the Greek philosopher Aristotle had received knowledge about palm reading as word of mouth spread to the East and the West.

Outside of just reading the lines in the palm many readers will take a look at other features of the hand such as shape and length of fingers. More often than not a reader is going to study and assess the 4 most common lines on the palm along with any visible mounts on the hand they may see.

Since palm reading or palmistry has roots to Greek mythology it's also thought that certain features on the palm or hand will be directly related to a God or Goddess from Greek mythology. When the reader starts they will typically read the dominant hand of the individual as this gives them the most insight as to what is currently going on in their life.

The Greek God Apollo is referenced in the ring of the finger in palmistry and the characteristics of this are tied to thing like art, wealth and even fame. Outside of analyzing things like the ring of the finger the reader will more specifically look at the length of the fingers, lines in the palm, mounts in the palm and the overall shape of the hand.

The shape of your hand will be directly tied to one of four different shapes of hands which will either be the water, the air, the fire, or the earth hand. Most commonly readers are going to assess and look at your fate line if you have one since it's not always visible. Readers will also look at 3 other common lines which are the health, heart and head lines. If a reader notice any visible mounts like the Saturn, Jupiter or Venus mounts those will also be read.

I remember the first time I had my palm read, I was shocked and amazed to reveal such valuable data about myself that I didn't seem to be aware of. The more I learned about palm reading the easier it was for me to read other people's palms and if you are lucky that can even amount to some nice paydays.
