A Terrific Lewisberry After School Care Program

By Megan Landry

People in Pennsylvania are always looking for great Lewisberry after school care. Parents who work late in the afternoon want to make sure that their children are being properly watched. People living in America realize that it is no surprise that many adults have to work extra hours in order to shelter their families properly. The Mount Zion Center is the perfect location to leave any child that needs a babysitter.

The staff at the Mount Zion Center are always looking for new ways to enlighten small children about life. Teachers located here must put together a very creative curriculum that will be useful for the entire year. After feeding everyone a great snack the staff will then proceed with exciting activities. Some of these activities include career day, group discussions, arts and crafts, story time and drama class.

Learning how to draw and paint are all part of Mount Zions arts and crafts course. The little ones will learn how to express themselves with various pictures that they will sketch. Before Thanksgiving arrives they will draw many pictures of turkeys and pilgrims that will hang around the classroom. There will also be plenty of Santa Claus and snowmen sketches during the Christmas holiday.

On special days the teachers will bring in guest speakers who will talk to these children about their careers and hobbies. Everyone can learn about certain fields such as medical, law or even education while listening to these speakers. Sometimes they will even be invited to visit the speaker's place of business in order to get a better understanding of a work environment.

Children often overcome their shyness when they are placed on a stage in front of a very large audience. This is one reason why the drama class is very important to have at Mt. Zion. The creative side of a child will always come out when they are performing in front of people. Many of the plays that these children perform in are chosen by the instructors.

Group discussions will help many youngsters inform others about what is going on within their lives. These are held in the later part of the afternoon and they will last for about forty five minutes. Sometimes it is easier for individuals to discuss their problems with strangers rather than family members. Certain fears can be overcome when these meetings happen.

Story time is a great moment for all of these students that are at Mount Zion. There are many legends that circulate around Pennsylvania and the educators are more than happy to share them with their students. Many of these events are fictional and they are told in the most delightful way. During the Halloween season each teacher will tell a really frightening story.

Finding a good Lewisberry after school care program may be quite simple for many Pennsylvania residents. When a parent takes his/her child to the Mount Zion Center they can be sure that their child is receiving excellent care. It is also true that they are getting the best babysitters within this state.
