Yep
There's a big lie that everyone believes in that causes so much pain and discomfort. Problem is, most people don't even know they are taking part in it.
Don't worry. It's not your fault.
We've all been fed this story and it's incredible powerful.
So I'm here to help you make this one change, and if you can seriously take this one tip to heart your entire world will change.
Not joking. How do I know? It changed mine.
Here it is - there's this place that you will reach where everything "turns out."
Let me further explain this.
Take a second to imagine that you are in a boat constantly rowing towards this island where your happiness lives. You can see your ideal life: the car, the partner, the house, the job etc. When you think of this place you believe that you will be happy.
This island doesn't exist.
It's a mirage.
It's the sexiest mirage you've ever seen and it will keep you rowing and rowing and rowing until your arms fall off because you think that's where your happiness lives.
But it gets worse. It's not just about rowing your boat to an imaginary place that's bad, it's about what this mentality brings out in you. Living this way makes you strive on a timeline to achieve something and makes you incredibly narrow minded. Everything is about progress. Everything must go "according to plan."
When you are constantly rowing towards the future, you forget to connect with the present moment and fear, worry, and doubt start to crawl into your life.
THIS CAN BE INCREDIBLY EXHAUSTING.
But most never get the opportunity to shift their perspective so they spend the rest of their lives rowing rowing rowing and even if they do achieve some of what they wanted for themselves, they realize that their happiness still doesn't live in those things or places.
Ever heard of mid-life crisis? Bingo.
So what is the shift that needs to take place?
Be amoebic. Huh? Yes...just like an amoeba. Let me explain.
Start viewing your life as a very fluid and shifting thing. When you can see life this way, you step out of everything being very black and white and see the world for what it truly is...colorful.
It gets even better.
This type of living brings out incredible things in you. Because when you are focus on what's actually developing in your life, you jump off the timeline, you start living more in the present and focus on "what's actually here or what's going on?" and you exit the future.
When you exit the future and show up in the present moment, you are living in the only place where you can actually be. You can't exist anywhere else (we try sometimes). You show up right here and that's when the magic starts to happen.
If you can grasp this concept, and really slow down a bit to understand just how much you've been rowing in your boat, you will see incredible changes in your life. You will connect with people more, connect with yourself, become more grounded, allow happiness to find you in the moment, and a slew of other fantastic things.
Living in this world, everything is possible.
Take a second to ask yourself, "What's actually here? What's really going on?"
Quit rowing.
